Community Gardens is a go!
Neighbors – we have a light in this dark time – Anika (email@example.com) has worked with the Town of Cochrane and we, as a community, have their full support to move forward with the community Garden, ensuring the safety of everyone involved. The parks remain closed except for those that are approved via the schedule we are developing for those that have and/or will rent a box for the season. There are 6 out of 20 boxes spoken for, if you are interested please email Anika at firstname.lastname@example.org . Anika is working hard to organize a safe installation process (all boxes have been made and ready to install thanks to many, but in particular Mathew Shannon).
Over the next month you will see some working in the new park (beside the show homes) to make this happen, but I have been assured we will do everything to maintain social distancing as best as practical, except of course in those cases where they are already “germ buddies” (same household, etc). This can be a great mental health initiative as well as continuing to beautify our community and a significant food source for our local families.

Do you want a plot? We have many available! Contact Anika (email@example.com) and get out and enjoy the sun, some gardening and fresh vegetables!
Lastly – you will see some requests for help to make this happen. Stay tuned….
For general questions on this initiative feel free to contact myself, Mathew, or Nikki.
