Why did you join the board?
“I did a lot more than I thought and it was fun! I thought I’d make some phone calls and share information but then I also dressed up in a Halloween costume and jumped out at people in a haunted house, I organized a hockey tournament, and designed posters.”
— Andrew
“Volunteering helped me be better at my job. I gained greater compassion for citizens and want to help them get the things they ask for.”
— nikki
“I feel like I know more about what’s going on in the community and also in Cochrane.”
— louise
“I’ve never served on a board before but I learned new skills and gained confidence.”
— cynthia
“This year was better than before! Bigger events, bigger turn-outs, and building relationships with Heartland and other CA’s is something I’m really proud of!”
