Developers
Multiple developers are working in Heritage Hills.
JL Developments took ownership of the eastern portion of the community from Brookfield Developments (circa. 2023) and is focused on the “WestHawk” marketing strategy. They are also leading the efforts on areas with overlapping developer responsibilities including preparation of the future K-9 school site adjacent to Heritage Blvd, upgrades to Township Road 262, and new community entrances off 262 and Hwy 1A.
GDS:
GDS purchased the former acreage site in the center of the community around 2022 and is marketing the housing effort as “Renaissance” with a variety of homebuilders. Connecting the east and west portions of Heritage Blvd, extending the walking paths between playgrounds, and building roads and housing up to Township Rd. 262 is part of their scope.
Harmony Park*:
This development company took over the construction of the remaining Stage One and portion of Stage Two phases around 2015. The scope includes roads and housing in phases 3, 4 and 5 largely along the north-west area of the community extending east to the future K-9 school site. This developer continues construction responsibilities in Heritage Hills well into 2025.

Highfield Land Management began the planning of the community in 2004 and constructed the majority of phases 1 and 2 with homebuilders Trico and Stepper Homes.

Surrounding Area
Situated on the edge of town, Heritage Hills has several neighbours.
In a joint effort Rockyview School Division and the Town of Cochrane acquired land on the corner of Horse Creek Road and Township Rd 262. It will be the site of a future multi-sport recreational facility and a future high school.
Design #3 (coming soon)
Did you know that the facility conducts a TEST every Wednesday at noon? You may hear a horn when you are walking around the community.
Flares are the small or large flames you see coming out of the tall stacks. This is a safety measure that releases a build-up of hydrocarbons.
Heritage Hills is fortunate to be neighbours with the AG Society and within walking distance to the site of the Cochrane Fair, various rodeo events, and annual markets.
